A Celebration of Illumination, Culture, and Creative Power
The South Asian Artists Association of America (S4A) proudly presents the second annual Color & Light: A Diwali Art Celebration at the Novartis Gallery in East Hanover, New Jersey.
Set against the spirit of Diwali—the festival symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil—this exhibition brings together the compelling voices of 32 S4A members in a vibrant, diverse, and thought-provoking showcase. While the theme remains open, the underlying current is unmistakable: illumination in all its forms—cultural, emotional, spiritual, and artistic.
From traditional expressions rooted in heritage to contemporary explorations pushing boundaries, this exhibition reflects the dynamic evolution of South Asian artists practicing in America today. The result is not just a display of artworks—it is a powerful statement of identity, inclusion, and creative excellence.

This exhibition is presented by the Novartis Employee Resource Group (ERG) in New Jersey. Novartis, a global pharmaceutical leader, continues to champion diversity and inclusion through meaningful cultural initiatives.
Following the resounding success of last year’s exhibition, the Novartis ERG enthusiastically welcomed the Association back for a second year. The ERG fosters connection and belonging through events that celebrate diverse backgrounds and lived experiences—creating a more inclusive and collaborative workplace environment.
